Hannah's Haven Mission Statement is:

To Create Special Places for Special People

Goals:


To create a safe, structured, productive and educational environment for adults who are developmentally disabled.

To develop and run a summer program for special education students that will provide a multi-sensory experience for learning, socializing and recreating.

To embrace Self-Determination and assist with Micro-Enterprises run by clients.

To allow choice and variety in social and recreational activities.

To educate and help individuals achieve their maximum potential.

One to Ten Year Plan
2001-2006

find a property that is zoned for our needs;
obtain grants for development;
work with the State of California Developmental Disabilities Council and the East Bay Regional Center to develop the site;
make the site ADA compliant;
build a pool; create a classroom and a large meeting room;
start the Summer Day Camp for Special Education Students;
start the Social and Recreational programs;
begin assisting with Micro-Enterprises.
2006-2012

remodel a cottage for living quarters;
design and build a respite center;
develop work areas: garden, compost, animal quarters;
build multipurpose room for social gatherings;
create a computer room;
arrange transportation;
recruit and train staff;
and move clients into housing and begin respite.



Our estimates show that we will need about 2 million dollars. We are looking for grant money, donation money and land for Hannah's Haven. Any information or donations cheerfully accepted. We are a not-for-profit organization under section 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductable.
