We will build a place where our developmentally delayed loved
ones will happily live out their lives with the freedom they
can acheive and the supervision they need. Hannah's Haven is a group founded by parents and professionals to meet the needs of our growing children and young adults. It is a non-profit charitable business. |
Hannah's Haven will provide a safe, structured, productive and educational
residential environment for developmentally disabled adults.
There will be a small residence and a respite center in a country setting with on-site training, vocational education, academic education, computers and work experience. Clients will learn new skills, such as gardening, animal care and recycling. This will be a multi-sensory environment with social opportunities. Field trips, community outings, and shopping trips will be available. |
There will be supervised living in a cottage with
four to six clients and a house manager. The location will be on 15+ acres with a pool in the Castro Valley, San Ramon or Dublin area. The day will be planned to have structure with jobs, free time and community time scheduled. Saturdays and Sundays will also be scheduled for clients who benefit from a scheduled day. Clients who have outside employment may also live in this community. Micro-Enterprises will be encouraged and assited. Hannah's Haven will be an alcohol, tobacco and illicit drug free site. |
